World War I military service abstract for Kermit Roosevelt, Army Officer

World War I service card of Kermit Roosevelt, son of Theodore Roosevelt. Although Kermit Roosevelt had joined the British Army in 1917 to serve as an officer in the Mesopotamian front of the war, he resigned that commission and joined the American army in Europe as a Captain in 1918. He fought in France for the remainder of the war, being awarded a British Military Cross for his service.
