Clinton Prison, inmate #32123, Joseph Fay

Mug shot of inmate Joseph Fay at Clinton Prison, 1953. Fay was a labor leader who was convicted of extortion and racketeering, and sentenced to Sing Sing Prison. After it became public knowledge that many politicians continued to visit him in prison, he was transferred to Clinton Prison, largely because it was much farther away from New York City.
