Drawing of a lift bridge for a tow-path on the Erie Canal, probably at Buffalo (Black Rock was a neighborhood in early Buffalo). The scale is one-half inch equals one foot. The date is unrecorded, but may be the 1850s, during the canal’s first enlargement.
