Aerial photograph, no. 8 in a sequence, taken by plane flying across lower Manhattan southeast along west side of lower Manhattan more than one month after the September 11 terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center, on October 21, 2001. By this point, most of the fires had been put out, and debris removal had begun.

Southwestern Manhattan. Battery Park is at top left, and the hexagonal dome of the Museum of Jewish History is toward center right.
