[Aerial photograph, flying northeast to southwest across lower Manhattan, 10/21/2001]

Aerial photograph, no. 2 in a sequence, taken by plane flying northeast to southwest across lower Manhattan more than one month after the September 11 terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center, on October 21, 2001. By this point, most of the fires had been put out, and debris removal had begun.

Note the traffic on the Manhattan-bound side of the bridge; on September 20, authorities started allowing multi-occupant private vehicles to enter Manhattan via the bridge.
