Aerial photograph, no. 4 in a sequence, taken by plane flying northeast to southwest across lower Manhattan more than one month after the September 11 terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center, on October 21, 2001. By this point, most of the fires had been put out, and debris removal had begun.

City Hall, which is surrounded by City Hal Park, is at center right. The northeastern edge of the World Trade Center complex is just visible at top left.
