[Aerial photograph, flying northeast to southwest across lower Manhattan, 10/21/2001]

Aerial photograph, no. 7 in a sequence, taken by plane flying northeast to southwest across lower Manhattan more than one month after the September 11 terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center, on October 21, 2001. By this point, most of the fires had been put out, and debris removal had begun.

The domed building and the pyramid-topped building toward center left are part of the World Financial Center complex. Note the absence of debris in West Street, which separates the World Trade Center site from the World Financial Complex.
