Mechanicville Bridge

Cranes and a low bed truck, owned by Roger Sherman Transfer Company, moving a steel span for the Mechanicville Bridge (Chap. 236, Laws 1946). The bridge, over the Hudson River, connects Mechanicville with the Town of Schaghticoke. The image is a construction progress photograph taken by the Dept. of Public Works, Bureau of Bridge and Grade Crossings (related photograph file number 5117).
