Letter to Robert W. Leake and Mr. Vandercook from Fred. W. Huht, 1772

A letter to Robert W. Leake and Mr. Vandercook from Fred W. Huht. The letter relayed a cryptic message that Robert Leake, Sr. had given to Huht for his son, Robert, in which he instructed that his son "keep possession" of his land and not to "suffer the vile theives and their adherents" which was a reference to American revolutionaries and the likely coming land seizures. Side two contains the original date and label of the document.
