Letter from John G. Leake to Robert W. Leake, 1774

Letter from John Leake to Robert W. Leake regarding family matters and business affairs. John wrote of an impending visit from their mother, but also stated that he "would not have the pleasure of accompanying..." her. John Leake also expressed dismay that recent events had confirmed their suspicions of impending conflict between America and Great Britain.
