Inquiry Regarding Standards of Living

A two-page letter from the Factory Investigating Commission requesting information on cost of living in recipient's community. The letter asks the recipient to calculate the income necessary to support a young woman living independently, a young man living independently, an adult woman living independently, an adult man living independently, and a family of five. The letter was part of the Commission's wage investigation and discussion of a potential minimum wage law.
