Affidavits from City and County of New York for Jacob Childs

Three affidavits: the first signed by Jacob Childs before a New York Commissioner of Deeds verifying his service in the First Regiment of New York Volunteers in the Mexican War; the second signed by Peter Waters, also from the First Regiment of New York Volunteers, verifying Jacob Child’s service; the third signed by Ward B. Burnett, colonel of the First Regiment of New York Volunteers, verifying Jacob Child’s service and honorable discharge. Certified by New York County Clerk William Walsh.
