Two affidavits for James E. Bissell, who served in the First New York Regiment Volunteers during the Mexican War. The first affidavit is signed by J. Baptiste Grasenauer, the second is signed by William Fentink confirming James E. Bissell’s membership in the Louisiana Association Veterans of the Mexican War. Both affidavits were signed before district court clerk John J. O’Brien.
