Letter to the Governor of New York from George Thistleton

Letter to the Governor of New York from George Thistleton, introducing applications for pensions and stating that all further business concerning the pensions should be directed to Thistleton and Smith in San Francisco, who were acting as business agents to veterans of the New York State Volunteers during the Mexican War who had moved to the West Coast. The letter also indicated the enclosure of a certificate bearing the names of the veterans who were under their care. Thistleton was himself a veteran of the New York State Volunteers during the Mexican War.
