It shows the City of Utica, the junction point of the Erie Canal and the Chenango Canal, Huntington’s Basin, Nail Creek, Lock No. 1, 2 and 3 and three bridges. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows Whitesboro Street, Varick Street, Columbia Street, Cooper Street, Court Street, Cornelia Street, State Street and Farette Street.
