This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Minden and Canajoharie. The map is split into two views. The first view shows the Otsquago Creek, a dam, the scite of the old Indian castle of Tarraghjorees, Lock No. 16, four bridges, over sixty buildings, the Road to Canajoharie Village and five unidentified roads. The second view shows the Mohawk River, a stream, a waste weir, two bridges, eight buildings and the Road to Canajoharie Village. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of J. Waggoner, J. Waggoner Jr., Joshua Webster, Widow Curtis and children and G. Verplank.
