It shows the Chenango River, a stream that branches into two waterways that run both into the canal and under it, a stream with a large mouth that empties into the canal, a bridge, four buildings and an unidentified road that runs horizontally across the map. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Samuel Walker, James Brushingham, Nathaniel Houghton and Frederick Terwilleger.
