Taberton Mountain Fire. Transferring Water to High Pressure Tank to be Taken to Fire

View of several men transferring water into a high pressure tank used to put out a forest fire on Taberton Mountain in Rensselaer County, N.Y. The date is unrecorded, but probably sometime in the 1920s. Taberton Mountain is not a discrete mountain but the southern section of the Rensselaer Plateau in the southeast of Rensselaer County. This image was created to record the forest fire control activities of the New York State Conservation Commission/Conservation Department.
