Recipes for Adirondack Cakes, and for "The Batter" for Adirondack Flapjacks as conceived by Herbert Williams of Saranac Lake, NY.  Also includes a description of the "atmosphere" in which these are eaten. The recipe was collected by Alfred Bendell and revised by John Reardon for the America Eats project.
