A bare side hill in Roscoe Conkling Park, Utica, reforested with red pine

View of Red Pine (Pinus resinosa) planted on a previously bare hillside in Utica’s Roscoe Conkling Park. The park is named for Rosco Conkling (1829-1888) a 19th century New York politician. It is located on the corner of Oneida Street and Memorial Parkway in the city of Utica. This image was created to record the reforestation efforts of the New York State Conservation Department.
