Black Locust planted in 1908 by Grant Halsey 1000 to the acre

A group of men picnic under the shade of Black Locust trees (Robinia pseudacacia). The trees were planted in 1908 by Tompkins County lawyer and farmer Grant Halsey. This image was created to record the reforestation efforts of the New York State Conservation Department.
