G. Hiedson Gould, Glen A. Seaby, George B. Wilder and a fourth, unidentified, man inspect pine trees at the Watson School Forest in Lewis County. School districts around the state first began to acquire land for reforestation in 1921. G.H. Gould was the first president of the Empire State Forest Products Association, founded in 1909. This image was created to record the reforestation efforts of the New York State Conservation Department.
