Petition submitted by residents of the village of Hillburn to New York State Education Commissioner George D. Stoddard protesting segregation of black and white students. Petitioners urge the commissioner to direct the Board of Education of Central School District Number 1 in the town of Ramapo to overturn its resolution, and admit all black students to the Main School.
