A group of men cut down 16-year-old Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) for posts on James Keogh’s farm in Warsaw, N.Y. Because of their extreme hardness and resistance to rot, Black Locusts make excellent fence posts. This image was created to record the reforestation efforts of the New York State Conservation Department.
