Letter from Le Roy B. Williams of Menelick Temple No. 2, Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, to New York State Education Commissioner George D. Stoddard

Letter from Le Roy B. Williams of Menelick Temple No. 2, Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, to New York State Education Commissioner George D. Stoddard, criticizing attitudes of racial superiority expressed by some members of the Ramapo School Board in relation to racial segregation in Hillburn, NY schools. Williams points out that such attitudes are always dangerous, but especially as black and white troops battle fascism abroad in the Second World War. He argues that the commissioner is responsible for "making democracy work in our educational system on the home front" by settling this case of discrimination.
