European larch at reforestation area near Almond, New York

A young European larch (Larix decidua) is at the center of this image, taken at a reforestation area near Almond, New York. The area was replanted by the Civilian Conservation Corps with larch, White Pine (Pinus strobus) and Scotch Pine (Pinus sylvestris) in 1932. This image was created to record the reforestation work of the Civilian Conservation Corps under the supervision of the New York State Conservation Department.
