Hardwood tree nursery near Centerville, N.Y.

This small tree nursery was operated by the Civilian Conservation Corps, AKA "Roosevelt's Tree Army," to provide the seedlings for reforestation. This nursery is a project of CCC Camp S-126, located in Centerville, N.Y., from 1935-1941. This image was created to record the reforestation work of the Civilian Conservation Corps under the supervision of the New York State Conservation Department.
