A view of whelks and a starfish taken from Oyster Bay. Both eat oysters. Whelks use their radula to bore through oyster shells, while starfish use their tube feet to pry open oyster's shells. This image was created to record the Conservation Commission's efforts in the Long Island shell fisheries.
