Weeding transplanted beds nursery of I. Heins Sohne, Halstenbek, Germany

Representatives from the Conservation Department visited this nursery in Halstenbek, Germany, to learn agricultural techniques. The I. Heins Sohne nursery had an international reputation, providing plants to the Biltmore House as well as others. Here, two men weed the transplant beds with hoes while Wilhelm Heins, current owner of the nursery, watches on.
