Shade trees: Elms along route 31 injured by ice-storm

The American Elm trees (Ulmus americana) along Route 31 in Port Byron, N.Y. have suffered severe damage from an ice storm, leaving them with a tattered appearance. This photograph was taken to record the trees of New York State by the New York State Conservation Department.
