New York City Hearing – April 18, 1972 (Afternoon). Recording continues Richard Maroney’s testimony about the events of September 8, 1971 and taking an inmate to HBZ. McKay conducts the examination. Maroney makes a final statement. Arthur Liman makes a statement on behalf of the McKay Commission on physical brutality. McKay indicates that a bomb threat has been called into the studio. Arthur Liman examines New York Times journalist and Observer, Tom Wicker. Wicker testifies about his experience as an Observer inside Attica on September 10, 1971 negotiating between the inmates and state authorities.
