New York City Hearings – April 25, 1972 (Morning). Recording continues Arthur Liman’s examination of John Monahan. Monahan discusses retaking the prison, hostages, the assault plan, and State Police training. Commission members McKay, Wadsworth, Wilbanks, Guerrero, Marshall, and Henix ask follow-up questions. Monahan makes a final statement. Correction officer Carl Jamalkowski testifies. McKay Commission Deputy General Counsel Henry Rossbacher examines Jamalkowski about the retaking of Attica by the State Police on Monday morning, September 13th, 1971. Jamalkowski was the gatekeeper at A block from Sunday evening through Monday morning. WRVR radio reporter gives an overview of the morning session.
