Confirmation of letters patent issued to Gracia D'Angola

Confirmation by the New York provincial government of an original Dutch letters patent that was issued on Decmeber 15, 1644 to Gratia D'Angola [Gracia D'Angola], a Black man, for land in Manhattan. The confirmation was issued to his widow Maria and her new husband Christoffell Santomee.
