Man planting trees

Two men seated in the Champion Duplex Reforesting Machine. The machine was invented by the Champion Sheet Metal Company, of Cortland, N.Y. The machine was built to carry two men and pulled by a tractor over plowed land; it was mainly used to reforest former farm land. Photograph was taken in a field in western New York, near the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse.
