View of Jack Pine reforestation area #2, Proposal L in St. Lawrence County, in the Adirondack Mountains. The Jack Pine 2 experimental stock was planted in the spring of 1936 beside the 10 ft. brush fence (visible) by Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) S-134. In 1929 the State Reforestation Law was passed which lead to increased reforestation activities, which after 1933 where often carried out by the CCC.
