View of Red Pine 4 seedlings at St. Lawrence County reforestation area #2 - Proposal E in the Adirondack Mountains. The seedlings were planting in the spring of 1935 by Foreman Beresford and Civilian Conservation Corps S-95. A low 3 ft. brush fence is visible in back ground, which was built in 1935. A sand dune, which was temporarily fixed by natural grass seeding, is also visible. In 1929 the State Reforestation Law was passed which lead to increased reforestation activities, which after 1933 where often carried out by the CCC.
