Governor Carey Meeting with Seneca Indian Leaders

Governor Hugh L. Carey meets with leaders of the Seneca Indian Nation to discuss land that was needed for the completion of a Southern Tier Expressway that would travel through part of the Seneca Nation land. The meeting took place in the Red Room of the Executive Chamber of the Capitol Building. At the head of the table is Governor Carey. To Governor Carey's right is President of the Seneca Indian Nation Robert C. Hoag. To Governor Carey's left is the Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Transportation William Hennessey.

Also in attendence at the meeting were Barry Parker, Wayne Abrams, Maurice John, and Arthur Lazarus.
