It shows a series of long and wide basins, a host of streams including one that runs parallel to the canal, Lock No. 32, 33, 34 and 35, a bridge, four buildings and an unidentified road. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Oliver Sampson, Mrs. Sampson, Jared Whitney, Lester Barker, Jenks and Mathews.
